We are delighted that Carollina Song, immediate past Chair of the Collaboration for Early Childhood, is being honored by the Oak Park-River Forest Community Foundation as an outstanding philanthropist. Each year the Community Foundation honors one individual, one business and one young person for this significant award.

Carollina  is a passionate leader who makes a deep commitment to the charitable and community service work in which she engages. The Collaboration for Early Childhood has been especially fortunate to benefit from Carollina’s generosity as a donor, volunteer and board member.

Carollina has served as the co-president of PTO Council for Oak Park Elementary School District 97 and co-chair of the Children’s Services committee for the League of Women Voters of Oak Park/River Forest. As a first-generation American whose family qualified for free and reduced-price lunches, Carollina is a firm believer that high-quality learning experiences beginning at birth are key to success in life outcomes.

Congratulations to Carollina!!
